  We really enjoyed our 5 nights at Guadalupe Lodge. The home was very clean with a great view and access to the river. The chute is just a short walk upstream and the town of Gruene a short distance away. We ate at the Gristmill in Gruene (delicious food). Another night we went back for the live music and dancing at the oldest dance hall in Texas, also in Gruene. Fun was had by all!

  We rented this cabin for my bachelorette party and it was perfect!! 14 girls stayed here and we had an absolute blast! The view is wonderful and it's located in a great spot. We all agreed that we would definitely be back!

  Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful home! I searched for so long and hard and it paid off. This place is amazing and everything I hoped for. I was looking for something roomy so all my friends and family to visit and enjoy. I wanted something with lots of action; things to do and places to go. This was it! The house is brand new and sparkling clean. I had so many friends and family come to visit and we had so much fun. The home is so roomy; so much space in the kitchen, living room, upper deck, yard on the river front, and so many rooms and beds! We never felt crowded. Plenty of parking for the visitors. We spent our days lounging, grilling, kayaking, tubing, fishing, sitting by the fire and lounging in the hammock on the bank of the river. We had so much fun on the river. We took the kayaks and tubes a very short paddle up to “The Chute” whitewater rapid. It is so beautiful with a dam on one side for hanging in the still water and a super fun fast flowing gauntlet on the other. We spent all day shooting The Chute over and over while the less adventurous had fun watching while they sipped their beverages as they dipped their feet in the cool river water. This rapid has good flow even when the river is running low. On another day, we took the kayaks and tubes and did a short float on the upper Guadalupe. Such amazing beauty. We would come back at night and fire up the large grill start a big campfire and eat our fill of Texas BBQ and top it off with smores. The house was so well appointed – we had everything we needed. That’s so rare. We did almost all our meals ourselves. We did have some fun visiting the local pub Koozies close by for a few brewskis appetizers and burgers. It was good! There are stores close by if you need anything like river shoes or sunscreen. We had zero problems with the property access and amenities. I have zero criticism to report. How refreshing!
