Escape the noisy city at this peaceful farmhouse in the country and yet still close to all that New Braunfels has to offer! This house is a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath that sleeps six. The covered front porch with an ADA ramp takes you into the foyer. There is an office/ art room that leads through to the fully equipped kitchen and dining area with all the comforts of home. The great room is huge with 2 story ceilings, large windows, fireplace and comfy seating with cable TV and free internet. There is a half bath just off the living room. The master bedroom is located downstairs with a king size bed, large closet and full bath with deep soaking tub and handicap accessible shower. Make your way upstairs to find 2 additional bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bath. The first bedroom has 2 twin size beds and the second bedroom has a full size bed. Bring an air mattress or tent for the little ones and this house can accommodate 8 guests Relax on the back porch with a glass of wine or your morning coffee and take in the beauty of songbirds and deer. The large back yard has plenty of space for your dog to enjoy. Quiet neighborhood great for families and romantic getaways, it is an artist's paradise!! NO parties allowed.
The original owner of this family home is a founding member of the New Braunfels Art League. The springtime wildflowers and the German influenced architecture are frequent subjects of her paintings. Besides being a recipient of numerous awards, she is a Purple Sage signature member of the Texas watercolor Society and her painting adorn the walls of this farmhouse. We have a portfolio of her work in the house and her lovely paintings are for sale.

8 miles to Natural Bridge Caverns, this house is sitting on unexplored caves! Only 10 miles from restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. 11 miles to Schlitterbahn, Gruene Hall, charming downtown New Braunfels, the Comal and Guadalupe River and much more.

Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. This home has a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. 2 dog maximum with a 40lb weight limit, $25 per dog per day. You can park 4 vehicles at this home. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This home includes accidental damage insurance up to $1500.

    This is an absolutely beautiful property in a lovely location. The handicap ramp and ground-floor master suite were essential for a handicapped member of our party. Even the master shower was walk-in (not roll-in since it did have a short threshold). The bed was a little high but we had brought a step stool for our handicapped person. The kitchen was well-equipped, but it does not have ANY food items, not even salt and pepper. It does have coffee filters, which we didn't find until the 3rd day. Apparently numerous guests have bought filters and left them there, as we did, because now there are lots of filters in a drawer. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathtub/shower and toilet, but each has its own lavatory. The furnishings throughtout are lovely, many antiques. One upstairs bed is waist high, but there is a stool in the room. The only TV is in the living area, but we never used it. There is too much else to do. The paintings in the house are beautiful! There are places to eat on the porch, chairs to rock in and a porch swing. I would go back in a heartbeat!

    It was a wonderful four days in Casa Azul. The house was immaculately clean with ample space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had every imaginable utensil. So preparing Thanksgiving dinner was easy.
    The fenced in back yard was great for the dog.
    The house needs some repair but nothing that would keep us from returning.
    Thumbs up to the management company. They responded immediately if I had a question.

    Overall the stay was very enjoyable, we had great family time together. This is the deceased artist Angie Banta Brown's home and the place was filled with her beautiful watercolor paintings. We enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, but there were some rusted utensils. This home is in need of attention though. The foundation is cracking and most of the doors did not shut and many cracks on the walls. The backyard had not been attended to and because of the large bushes along the back of the house, there were deer ticks on the back porch area. Also, mud dobbers and other bugs came in through the fireplace. The front yard was cut and we enjoyed time on the front porch. We truly liked this house and would consider going back. We just felt that some respect needed to be shown to this home by the property owners.

    Enjoyed our time there. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The fenced yard was great for our dogs security. The neighborhood is great for walking, with very little traffic. New Braunfels Escapes was very responsive and helpful. The location was quiet, especially during the week and only 5 miles to access groceries, restaurants etc. It was awesome seeing the longhorn next door and lots of deer on a daily basis. The front porch is great to sit at the end of the day for beautiful sunsets. The only things that need to be improved are the AC needs a Freon recharge, the porch off the dining needs board replacement and the exit door in the bath needs weatherstripping for cold weather drafts otherwise we would rate all 5 Stars. The Reel Restaurant for seafood and and Krause Biergarten were our favorite eateries in New Braunfels, but there are so many good places to dine. Naeglin’s German Bakery is also a great stop. Landa Park is an awesome walking area, especially with a dog.
